Cinder is searching for an experienced and versatile Office Manager for our healthcare client, a long-established private practice with an excellent reputation in Bala Cynwyd, PA (Philadelphia suburb). This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity. The successful candidate will be a friendly, enthusiastic and compassionate individual eager to join our client’s patient-centered and community-oriented practice!
Must be able to interact with practice mascot Iggy the terrier.
Perform a variety of functions such as maintaining A/R and A/P, regularly compiling financial reports, collecting and recording payments and bank deposits, invoicing, posting of charges, returns, and exchanges and balancing of accounts, initiating collections procedures on overdue accounts, payroll, and other duties as required.
Processes and submits insurance claims including benefit verification and requesting prior authorization if needed, reviews EOBs from insurance carriers, answers all patient questions regarding coverage and benefits including Medicare, MA, UCare and private insurance.
Serves as backup to Front Desk (answering calls, greeting patients, assisting with intake forms, answering patient questions, etc.) Handles written communications including responses to web comments and inquiries.
Responsible for selection, training, operation, and maintenance of all office machines including phones, copier, printers and computers. Orders all supplies. Resolves all issues with other tenants in building.
Prepares and orders all marketing materials as needed. Consistent outreach to potential referral sources such as physician offices. Makes outbound calls to warm leads, former patients, etc. inviting them in to the practice for examination and treatment. Attends community events and health fairs professionally representing the practice. Demonstrates and sells products and accessories as well as performing minor cleanings and repairs.
Prefer Associates Degree at minimum with emphasis on Business, Accounting, or similar field. At least 2 years of Office Manager experience, preferable in a healthcare setting. Superior verbal and written communication skills, including intermediate-to-high level of computer literacy. Eye for accuracy and details. A welcoming customer service orientation. Professional-level listening and problem-solving skills. Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and stay organized. Commitment to continuous improvement. Willingness to grow and learn new skills.
